February 17, 2007, Bob Pantano, celebrates his
30th Anniversary on FM radio. The Saturday Night Dance Party is an Award
Winning Philadelphia tradition broadcast LIVE on 98.1 WOGL and simulcast on
94.3 WILW at the Jersey Shore – hosted by the man who pioneered the Live
Radio Dance Party in Philadelphia… Bob Pantano.
Join Bob along with Phillies Hall of Fame announcer, Harry Kalas, and other
legendary radio and TV personalities, sports celebrities, public officials,
special invited guests, and, of course, the best dancers from all over the
greater Philadelphia region. There will also be a special performance by
Bob’s favorite band, The Sensational Soul Cruisers. Bob Pantano, a South Philadelphia native started spinning at the record hops in the late ‘60s and then the nightclubs in the ‘70s and took the show to the air waves in 1977 on 98.1 WCAU FM – “Fascinatin’ Rhythm”. Through the past three decades hundreds of thousands of Delaware Valley residents remember dancing, meeting, and even falling in love to that special mix that the Saturday Night Dance Party is so well known for. Bob Pantano plays great uplifting dance music … a unique blend of Motown and Soul of the ‘60s and the Philly and the Dance Club Classics of the ‘70s and early ‘80s custom tailored for Philadelphians. The Rhythm of Your Life … every Saturday night from 7:00 PM till 2:00 AM aired exclusively on 98.1 WOGL and simulcast on 94.3 WILW down the Jersey Shore Live from Benny The Bums at the Holiday Inn in South Philadelphia at 10th and Packer.
